'Messy Glory' is a phrase for those times when brokenness and hope intermingle, when wonder and loss greet in an open square, when light refuses to be swallowed up in all the darkness around it. In other words, 'messy glory' describes every bit of life itself, should we open our eyes to it. It's not my creation by any means, but was coined by one of my favorite types of people in the world - a children's author.

Nice work, Alan. Good talking with you the other day - hope the rest of your summer has gone well (it looks like it has!)
By the way, I was going through some of my old YouTube videos today... remember this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkXxceDGJQg haha
Alan, this is fantastic. A nice ending to my day, thank you.
